Long Island, Bahamas, is easily accessible by air from Miami by Charter plane, we recommend Markus @ Miami City Flights. Connecting from Nassau you can fly Bahamas Air or Southern Air. From Exuma – Island Wings (Marty Fox) and Stella Maris Air both offer hopper flights and private charters.
There are two airports on Long Island, Deadman’s Cay and Stella Maris. It takes about 45 minutes to fly from Nassau. Airfare can be pretty expensive and inconvenient but it is well worth the trouble.
There’s also a mailboat from Nassau to Long Island, but it takes 12-16 hours and is rough travelling. Flying really is the best option. The trip takes up to 15 hours depending on the weather.
